In times of quarantine, a writer returns to his hometown of Mantua. He is alone. The only furtive outings he allows himself are long night walks. Frequently acknowledged as the most important living Italian writer, Antonio Moresco presents us with an evocative and dreamlike account that examines one man's relationship with trees and nature, and offers so many lessons on the times in which we live.

Antonio Moresco was born in Mantua in 1947. Among the many books he has published, we recall the monumental work in three volumes entitled Giochi dell'eternità (Gli esordi, Canti del caos and Gli increati), as well as La Lucina, Lettere a nessuno, Fiaba d’amore and Gli incendiati. Among his latest books are, Il Grido (2018) and Canto di D’Arco (2019), both published by SEM.
