Recent discoveries on nutritional genomics have shown that the food we eat everyday can maintain a “dialogue” with our cells and with our genetic heritage (DNA). Food modulates the response of cellular DNA in such a manner as to point the body towards a healthy condition, at a healthy body weight.

Using this concept as a starting point, the author follows the reader in a “journey” through the discovery of our own bodies. In a simple language that is easily understood, the author explains the mechanisms that help us live healthy lives, and provides nutritional advice to reach a state of well-being and a healthy body weight. The purpose of this book is to provide a new perspective to face our relationship with food, and it is therefore an innovation in terms of weight control and, as a consequence, of health as well.

Pier Luigi Rossi is physician, specialised in Nutritional Science and in Public Health and Preventive Medicine, professor at the Master of Nutrition and Education for Health at the Università degli Studi di Bologna and professor at th Università della Repubblica di San Marino. Professor (a.c.) in Nutritional Science at the Università degli Studi di Siena-Arezzo from 1995 to 2009. Expert member of the Superior Council of Health from 2003 to 2006 and Medical Director of the local public health unit (Arezzo) from 1990 to 2009.

Since 1990 he has been a guest at the following TV programmes from RAI: “Più Sani Più Belli", “Linea Verde”, “Uno mattina”, “Domenica IN”, “Geo&Geo”, “Occhio alla Spesa”, “Uno mattina Verde”, “Medicina 33”, TG1.

He has invented the molecular method of conscious nutrition and is the author of scientific books and researches. In 2016 he has published with Aboca Edizioni the book Conosci il tuo corpo, scegli il tuo cibo - Il metodo molecolare per una alimentazione consapevole.
