The cover design features three flamboyant tulips taken from the Hortus Amoenissimus of Franciscus De Geest, one of the most beautiful florilegiums of the 17th century baroque period. Part of Aboca’s project has always been to reveal the history of botany in its rarer and more precious aspects.

The Hortus Amoenissimus contains over two hundred illustrations of flowers, and even today it amazes in the vibrancy of its colours. The reproduction of the original manuscript, kept at the Biblioteca Nazionale Centrale in Rome, was edited and published by Aboca Edizioni.
