From I Discorsi by Pietro Andrea Mattioli, a refined image created using innovative printing techniques. Presented in an elegant frame of green wood with gold details, this print will embellish and add interest to any room.

Each picture is printed onto 300 gsm Arcoprint Milk paper using a colour printing process that allows the original image to be reproduced with the highest degree of accuracy.

The history of botany and sharing its most rare and precious aspects has always been part of the Aboca project. I Discorsi di Pietro Andrea Mattioli contains the translation from Greek of De materia medica by Dioscorides Pedanius, the most famous historical treatise on medicinal plants. I Discorsi is important because of the notes and descriptions of species with properties that were previously unknown, which Mattioli integrated with Dioscorides' text. The image Aboca chose for the prints is enhanced by Gherardo Cibo's exquisite hand-colouring.
