John Elkington (1949) is a pioneer in the global sustainability movement. He is the author of twenty books, including the bestsellers The Green Consumer Guide (1988), which brought attention to the environmental impact of everyday products and brands, and Cannibals with Forks (1997), which popularised his Triple Bottom Line concept and laid the foundations for sustainable business strategy.

In 2008 he co-founded the company Volans.
