Extended information on the use of Cookies

Pursuant to and by effect of the Ruling of 8 May 2014 [3118884], of the Personal Data Protection Agency, regarding the use of cookies, we inform you, with reference to the domain of Aboca SpA Società Agricola, reached on the Internet at the web address, of the following.

On the Internet, cookies are classified as "transient" or "session" cookies, "persistent" or "profiling" cookies, and "third party" cookies.

Cookies, which can be found in a high number in users' browsers and sometimes remaining for a long period of time, may be used for performing authentication operations, session monitoring, memorisation of information on specific configurations of users connecting to the server hosting the site being viewed, etc, are strings of text in small files that sites visited by the user, or associated third-party sites, send to the terminal or device used for the connection, where they are saved, before then potentially being re-sent to the same sites, on subsequent visits by the same user.

Even if they are generally used for evaluating the use of a website, its efficiency and to simplify use and browsing, and not being associated with personal data, cookies may also be configured for personalising the experience of browsing a website, associating them with the preferences of a user or his or her personal information.

As cookies enable the use of certain functions of websites we suggest you do not disable them. If you block, disable or do not accept cookies, you may not be able to access the site and certain webpages may not be displayed correctly.

Transient or session cookies

Session cookies, archived in temporary memory and removed on closing the browser, used solely for "transmitting a communication on an electronic communication network, or to the extent strictly necessary to the supplier of a service of an information company explicitly requested by the subscriber or user to provide such service", allow a website to be used efficiently, tracking impressions of its pages in order not to request information already acquired and/or issued by the user's browser during the same connection session.

These cookies may be divided further into browsing or session cookies, which enable the normal browsing and exploitation of the website (permitting purchases or authentication for accessing private areas, for example); analytics cookies, similar to transient cookies where used directly by the site operator to collect aggregated information, on the number of users and how they visit the site; functionality cookies, which allow the user to browse based on a series of pre-selected criteria (for example, site language, products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service provided.

For transient or session cookies to be installed the prior consent of the person concerned is not required. This does not however affect the obligation for the Processing owner to disclose this mandatory information, according to Art. 13 of the Personal data protection code, which the site operator, when solely these devices are used, must provide according to the methods deemed most appropriate.

Transient or session cookies used by, allow avoiding re-entering the same information, such as username and password, multiple times during the visit, analysing the use of the services and content provided to optimise the browsing experience and the services offered.

Persistent or profiling cookies

On the contrary, persistent or profiling cookies are aimed at creating user profiles, are archived on the user's hard disk and are available on reopening the browser. They save the preferences of users for current and subsequent visits and may be used for sending advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the person concerned, recorded during sessions of connection.

The European Community and rules enacted in Italy provide that, for the case of use of such types of cookies by the owner of the site, the person concerned is suitably informed on their use and given the opportunity to express his or her valid informed consent.

The provision of article 122 of the Personal data protection code, which expressly provides that "the archiving of information in the terminal of a counterparty or a user or access to information already archived are permitted solely on the condition that the counterparty or the user has given his or her consent after having been informed via the simplified methods provided for in article 13(3)", is deemed to refer to this type of cookies.

The site does not use this type of cookies
