Michael T. Osterholm (1953), is the founder and director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy (CIDRAP) at the University of Minnesota. He is an internationally renowned epidemiologist and has worked at the forefront of public health, leading a number of investigations into new epidemics and working as an advisor to several international leaders. He has been regularly featured in the press and media in the wake of the Covid-19 outbreak.
