Donald R. Prothero is a Palaeontologist and Geologist. He teaches geological sciences at the California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and works as a researcher at the Los Angeles Museum of Natural History. Prothero was one of the first palaeontologists to use the concept of palaeomagnetism in the study of Continental rocks, which has opened up the possibility of studying these rocks in the science and evolution of the climate.
